CAUSE bargaining continues with the fifth session on August 10
The Latest: UA and CAUSE completed a fifth bargaining session yesterday, with the next one scheduled for August 24. CAUSE’s negotiating team passed across multiple proposals - including articles on high-priority issues like compensation and benefits - for UA’s negotiating team to consider.
- Look Back: To keep negotiations moving, UA passed an initial contract across the negotiating table on July 22 as a starting point.

- When articles are passed across by CAUSE negotiators, it helps present a clearer picture of their priorities and representation of CAUSE members.
- However, CAUSE has not yet been willing to engage in discussions regarding the positions that UA believes should be excluded from the Unit based on their job duties. We’ve heard loud and clear that the lack of clarity and certainty on this front is frustrating to many employees, and UA is committed to resolving it.
