Jacqueline Tagaban, was appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for Alaska Native Programs in 2026. She reports directly to the chancellor and provides executive-level leadership at UAS in advancing programs and services supporting Alaska Native students.

Tagaban serves as a vital link to Alaska Native tribes and corporations, school districts, and other stakeholders in enhancement of Alaska Native programs and services across the entire UA system. As part of her duties, she serves as Director of the PITAAS program—Preparing Indigenous Teachers and Administrators for Alaska’s Schools.
